On top of this, the current federal administration has added fear and stress for immigrant families, and new policies threaten their access to vital resources and support.

Your gift will provide direct support to people participating in our programs. You will provide nutritious food for children, critical assistance paying immigration fees, rental assistance to prevent eviction, gas cards to help people get to work, and so much more.

Gas and Transportation Cards

With so many people in the immigrant community living on the edge due to the cost of living in Marin, it is essential that Canal Alliance clients be able to get to work. $100 pays for us to provide a client with a gas or transportation card for a month, ensuring that they can earn an income to support their family.

Rental Assistance

Canal Alliance programs provide wraparound case management to all participants, because when clients have holistic support, they are most able to experience the full benefits of our services. Clients are also provided with financial support when needed. $200 pays for emergency rental assistance for those difficult months when clients need help covering the essentials. Immigration Fees for Unaccompanied Children

This year, the federal government instituted devastating new fees for people applying for asylum, including unaccompanied minors. Applicants now must pay $100 a year just to prevent their case from being thrown out, and backlogs are causing cases to drag out for years. $500 pays the annual fee for 5 youth clients to keep their immigration cases open.
